Skoda to launch six new cars this year
It is time for car makers to declare what they have in their bag for this New Year. Prior to others, the Czech car maker has announced its plans for this year. It will be starting the launch sequence with the Skoda Rapid compact this month and it will then be followed by the all new Skoda Octavia (known as Skoda Laura in India) in March. Next to it will be the Octavia Combi scheduled in June. There are three more models out of the six models the car maker wishes to launch this year. The details of the other three are yet to be revealed but it is believed that these will be the Octavia RS, new Skoda Superb and an all new avatar of the Skoda Yeti SUV.
These six models of Skoda cars will be launched in the European market and as per the information, in due course of time, the new cars will also be launched in India as well. In addition to new cars, the car maker will also be revealing the new logo and branding for it. The new cars that will bear the new logo and the branding will be the Skoda Fabia and the Skoda Roomster. Where the new logo has a tough of innovation, the SKODA will also appear at the rear of the cars along with the model and engine type. This is an attempt to transform the image of the brand as it poses to be more sophisticated and refined than before.
Meanwhile, the car maker has revealed the details of the new Skoda Octavia that was unveiled sometime ago and is awaiting a launch anytime from now. The new Octavia will have a four petrol engine models and four diesel engine options. Both the petrol and diesel engines will also have the Greentec and Greenline variants as well which are known for power, performance, mileage and low emissions. This will make the already popular Skoda Octavia more popular once it is launched in Europe and soon after in India.
