Tata Bolt unleashed with starting price of Rs. 4.44 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi)
Finally the wait for highly anticipated hatchback Bolt from domestic car maker Tata Motors came to end today with its launch at starting price of Rs. 4.44 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The hatchback was showcased earlier last during Indian Auto Expo 2014 and is developed on car maker’s new designing concept “DESIGNEXT”. The hatchback has been offered in both petrol and diesel disguises. The petrol trim is empowered with 1.2 litre Revotron MPFi engine boosting the power of 88.8 bhp and torque of 140Nm. The diesel variant on the other side bestows 1.3 litre Quadrajet diesel engine, borrowed from Fiat, this engine generates the power of 75 bhp and torque of 190 Nm. Both petrol and diesel engines have been mated with five speed manual gear transmission system.
The major features offered on the exteriors include newly developed front grille, new sportier front bumper, stretched headlamps with integrated projector lamps. On the rear side hatchback receives floating rear spoiler, new stylish tail lamps and many more. On sides it receives 15 inch alloy wheels, curve lines, outside rear view mirrors with integrated side blinkers and black C pillars.
Inside the cabin it receives chrome garnished black interiors, 5 inch Harman touch screen infotainment system that supports features like connectivity with Bluetooth, smartphone navigation system, video playback voice recognition, smartphone integration and in-built HVAC system. The hatchback now will compete against Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
