Tata car prices to be chopped a bit!
The Indian car market is filled with competition and it is very difficult for car companies to survive. It is literally like Survival of the Fittest today! Therefore, to strengthen its position in the passenger car segment, Tata Motors might bring down its car prices. This will be done in order to revive sales figures and make itself in a much better place than before. If reports are to be believed, Tata Motors will chop down up to Rs. 50000 on its cars such as Tata Indigo, Tata Nano and Tata Indica. However, there hasn’t been any kind of green signal coming from the firm directly. But the rumors here are pretty strong and could be true has the sales of Tata Motors are falling drastically day by day.
On the other hand, this auto major has raised the price of its SUVs up to Rs. 35000. And the reason behind it it’s the higher costs and hike in the excise tax that has been presented recently at Union Budget 2013-14. So far, the firm hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the price hike, but would be made soon. The company will be amplifying the price tags of Tata Sumo, Tata Aria and Tata Safari from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 35000.
Apart from this, Tata Motors has tried to recover from the slash in the sales of Nano as this mini car was honored with the tag of most dependable car brand. Since the time of its launch, undoubtedly, Nano has managed to lure numerous consumers and fetched so much positive criticism that was meant to be presented with such an honor. It has more than 30 lakh fans on its official Facebook page. To keep up with the positive comments, the car maker recently brought in the Special Edition of Nano that sported body graphics, alloy wheels, music system, twin glove box and more.
