Tata Falcon 4 spied testing on Italy roads
With an objective of strengthening its roots in global car market domestic car maker Tata Motors has started testing the facelift version of its hatchback Tata Indica Vista (codenamed as Falcon 4) on roads of Italy. The same news has been confirmed by one of the Italian websites Quattroroute which says that its sources have captured pictures of camouflaged Tata Indica Vista being test in Turin.
As far as technical features are concerned it is speculated that company will carry the same engine configuration which is available in existing and petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant of facelift Vista will be equipped with 1.2 litre engine developing the power of 64 bhp, whereas the diesel variant will be empowered with 1.3-litre Quadrajet aka Multijet engine available with two power options of 74bhp and 88 bhp. Apart from this the upcoming model will also be offered in 1.4 litre TDI engine churning the power of 70 bhp.
One thing which is surprising about Falcon 4 is testing on Italian roads which has compelled industry experts to think over it that is it an international model which is being tested there. According to reports the car has right hand drive steering and therefore it is speculated that company would have carried the vehicle to Italy as Italian roads are best to conduct test drive for any upcoming vehicle. It is speculated that Tata may showcase the Falcon 4 during the Indian Auto Expo 2014.
