Tata Indica Vista D90 slated to launch on January 28
Few days ago we brought you the new regarding Tata Indica Vista D90 launch in India, the latest buzz is that the new version of the hatchback will be rolled out on January 28th, 2013. The hatchback has already been delivered at Tata Motors dealers scattered across the country as the dealers have started accepting bookings for the hatchback. However, deliveries will begin after the official launch of the hatchback. The 2013 Tata Indica Vista D90 hatchback will house a diesel engine pumping out 90 Bhp of high power along peak torque of 200 Nm. This is the same diesel motor which currently powering some of the most powerful diesel hatchbacks in India, we are talking about the 1.3 litre Multijet turbo diesel engine manufactured by Fiat. In order to enhance the power and torque figures of this sturdy diesel engine, it will come affixed with a variable geometry turbocharger.
Tata’s Indigo Manza sedan also comes equipped with the same diesel engine. This VGT equipped diesel engine will be harmonized to a five speed manual transmission. Indica Vista D90 will be offered in two variants, VX and ZX, these two trims will be positioned at the top of the variant Indica Vista range in terms of price too. The VX variant of Vista D90 is available at the price of Rs 5.74 lakh while the ZX version is up for grabs at Rs 6.4 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Fiat Punto and Hyundai i20 are the only two hatchbacks in the B+ segment that could match the power and torque output numbers generated by Indica Vista D90. But since the price of Vista is much lower than these two hatchbacks therefore it definitely has an edge over its rivals. The hatchback will also be packed with features like follow-me-home headlamps, one touch driver side power window and new driver information system on the instrumentation console. The body and roof will be painted in contrast colours also the instrumentation console on the dashboard moves in the front of the driver instead of being placed in the middle of the dashboard.
