Tata Indigo eCS goes to facelift
At present, the demand for fuel efficient cars in India is raising with unexpected rate, and among the available top five most fuel efficient sedan cars in India, Tata Indigo eCS includes its name, but due to recent launch of Honda Amaze, Maruti Swift Dzire Regal etc. same segment cars, this sedan is losing the market share. And now, as per news reports, this popular sedan has been sent to major facelift to take on rivals.
It is reported that to give tough competition to Etios, Dzire, Amaze, Verito etc. cars, Tata to do major changes at exteriors, interiors and under the hood of the sedan. The Indigo eCS sedan's exteriors would be revised with new grille, stylish redesigned front and rear bumpers. It also is expected that reverse parking sensors and headlights of the vehicle would also been revised. In the interiors, the company can new designed dashboard, stylish AC vents, new steering wheel, innovative color scheme etc. Fuel efficiency of the next generation version of the sedan would also be enhanced.
Meanwhile, the engine and the 5 speed manual gearbox are not reported to see changes. Yet the company has not made announcement about the launch time and price of new avatar of the sedan, but it can run on roads in August-September this year with a minimal increase in price. The current version of the vehicle is being offered in one petrol and two diesel and engine options. And, all variants of both models are being offered between Rs 5.7 Lakh to Rs 6.29 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
