Tata launches two more models in CNG variants of Tata Indigo and Tata Indica
Domestic car making company Tata Motors has introduced two new models in CNG wallet of Tata Indigo and Tata Indica, to these new models it has named as Tata Indigo emax and Tata Indica emax. Both these models were showcased during Horizonext event held in June this year. It would be interested to know that prior to this company had introduced emax model in its highly acclaimed passenger car Tata Nano. At present company has launched these models in states of Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura.
As far as configuration of engine is concerned Tata has empowered Indigo emax with 1.2 litre petrol engine which generates the power of 65 bhp and delivers an average of 24.6 km/kg. The price of Tata Indigo emax varies from Rs. 4.99 lakh to Rs. 5.27 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). Similar to Tata Indigo emax, Tata Indica emax has also been designed to deliver fuel efficient performance and according to reports it delivers an average of 23.7 km/kg. Its price starts from Rs. 3.99 lakh and ends at Rs. 4.26 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi).
Addressing the launching event of these models Mr. Ankush Arora, Vice President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (Commercial) Tata Motors Ltd, said that in current scenario as an impact of regular hike in fuel prices there is demand of CNG models and company is overwhelmed on expansion of its CNG family. He further added that launch of these two new models will further enhance position of company in eyes of its potential customer. Because the objective of Tata Motors is to manufacture vehicles according to expectation of customers by making use of latest technical features.
