Tata Manza launch in South Africa soon

If Toyota has made a trespass in Tata’s domain in the country by launching the Toyota Etios sedan, Tata has decided to play a spoil sport for the Japanese car maker in South Africa. Tata is soon to launch the Tata Manza in South Africa. Also this will help the Indian car maker to recoup some of the sales loss to the petrol version of Manza. It will also help Tata help get rid of the already existing stock pile of petrol Manza as the South African market also has right hand driven cars. It is expected that the Tata Manza will be putting a check on the growing popularity of Etios. But experts believe that Japanese cars are more popular in the African country as Indian technology is considered interiors there. However, sensing the popularity of Maruti cars it is expected that Tata cars will also get good numbers there.

The Manza that will be exported to the new destination will be powered by 1.4 L Fiat sourced engine and this engine has a capacity of 89 bhp which is similar to what Etios 1.5 L engine offers. But it is a matter of great anticipation whether the Manza will be able to match the Etios sales. As per the reports, the Etios sedan is selling like hotcakes since its launch in May this year and at its best in June when Etios hatchback and sedan cumulatively fetched 2105 units figure. However, Volkswagen Polo remained the best selling car in the hatchback segment.

The Etios sisters have also clicked well in India as well and majorly appreciated for its price and value for money. Toyota cars are believed to be maintenance free cars just as Maruti and Hyundai cars are and people of India have tested the brand with the MPV Toyota Qualis and then with the Toyota Innova that has sold in considerable number despite being pricey.
