Tata Motors launched 'Tata Alert' across the country
The home grown auto maker Tata Motors has inducted a new programme named ‘Tata Alert’, in which the company will be assisting the customers about driving medium and heavy commercial vehicles on highway. The programme will be run around all national highways across the country. In this programme the drivers will get on-site breakdown assistance in four hours after dialling a toll-free number (1800-209-7979).
The ‘Tata Alert’ service will be available for the entire day; this service will make sure that a vehicle is restored to working condition within 2 days. The ‘Tata Alert’ service will also provide load transfer assistance if there is any major fault and the vehicle is carrying perishable goods.
The service is introduced on the occasion of the Commercial Vehicles Business Unit’s (CVBU) National Customer Care Day, to mark the trust which the company has developed with the customers and channel partners over the years. Tata Motors CVBU has also inducted an extra warranty period of 12 months or 36,000 Kms above the current warranty that the company is offering for Tata magic and Tata Ace commercial vehicles for a very nominal fee. The customers can be benefited by the ‘Tata Alert’ service within 30 days after buying the vehicle.
To help the technicians and channel an E-workshop manual is also being developed which will enable them to use the first hand information for the convenience of the customers. The Tata Motors e_Catalogues which are currently available for the convenience of the customers will also be updated and published in 3D format. This will help in enriching the awareness of the channel partners and customers. Along with this, the company has also launched the Dynamic Order Pad for the spare parts ordering, this will help the spare part teams to give a better opinion to the customers while making an order.
