The three new cars slated to launch in India include a 3 cylinder diesel engined Tata Nano hatchback along with a new version of Tata Safari christened Storme. Also a new hatchback is also being developed which will rival the likes of Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto. Mr Ratan Tata, the Chairman of Tata Motors is also reportedly planning to promote its cheapest offering Nano. Nano was the dream project of the business tycoon which could never take off the way he had envisaged. Despite several efforts Nano is still struggling to reach zenith, Mr. Ratan Tata recently revealed his plan to reach a monthly sales of 20,000 units. Several fire catching incidents also brought bad fame to the hatchback, however the new version of the hatchback which was launched in India last year does not have this problem.

Launched back in 2009 at a starting price of Rs 141,898, Nano initially created hysteria due to its low price. However, sales started dropping drastically after some time. The car was designed keeping in mind the two wheeler owners who could get a four wheeler at the same price at which they buy a motorcycle.
