Tata Motors seems to have made a come back after a long gestation period of almost a year. And the turning point is the Tata Safari Storme launch yesterday. The launch has also inspired the car maker to claim the second largest car maker title. Notably, Maruti is at the numero uno position followed by Hyundai that is at the second position. In order to achieve the second slot, Tata will be launching around six cars in the next one year. The Safari Storme launch has been outwardly successful and reports suggest that booking started swarming in soon before launch yesterday and it is expected that the car will be able to give a tough fight to the segment leader Toyota Fortuner.

The Safari Storme price that starts at Rs 9.95 lakh and the features that come at this price are said to be behind the success proposition of this new Tata SUV. Features such as Shift on the fly with the touch of a button besides ABS, EBD and air bags and a lot of other security features will all make the new SUV by Tata a success. All that was missing in the existing generation Safari has been embedded in the new Storme making it a fully loaded SUV avatar at low price. Besides features the Storme exteriors and interiors are also what will take this SUV to the next level of success compared to the Safari DiCOR. The 2.2 L VariCOR diesel engine churns out 140 PS and that too at low rpms so the new Storme needs little paddling to get it over any terrain.
