Tata Safari Storme is already a big hit, launch on Wednesday

Tata Safari Storme, one of the most anticipated Sports Utility Vehicles in the Indian market, is receiving a staggering response from the interested buyers. Even before its price announced, the company has received a good number of pre-order bookings from the Indian buyers. The SUV’s launch is scheduled for 17th October and the remaining specification details of the model will be announced on that day.

The company is working aggressively to create a huge excitement among the Indian buyers through the social media. An exciting card puzzle has been launched by the company on their official Facebook page, in order to start teasing the car among the followers. The interesting card game is showcasing the Safari’s journey in the Indian market since its launch in year 1998. It was India’s first Sports Utility Vehicle and had become the best selling SUV in India in year 2003. One year later, the SUV won the “most improved car of the year award” in 2004.

At present, the current model of Tata Safari is posting a decent number of sales in the country. Now the company is looking forward to take the success of Safari brand even further with the new Safari Storme. The 2.2L diesel powertrain of the car has been improved in terms of both mileage and performance and is dubbed as ‘VARICOR’. It will continue to come joined with a five speed manual transmission.

The new Tata Safari Storme has been designed and developed at the X2 platform which was used to launch the Mutli Utility Vehicle Aria. There will be a number of cosmetic upgrades at both interior and exterior fronts. The major competitors of the SUV in the Indian market will include Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra XUV 500 and Renault Duster. With the launch of new Safari Storme, the company is expecting to regain its lost market share in the passenger SUV segment to the rivals like Scorpio and XUV 500.
