Tata Technologies and famous tyre maker Michelin have showcased Tata eMO which is a concept car at the Detroit Motor Show. The Tata eMO is an electric car and will be a four seater small car. This concept car by Tata has real production prospects and is being showcased at the Show by its ally Michelin. Tata Technology is the Tata Motor owned company and deals in ancillary and other equipment supplies. The eMO in Tata eMO stands for electronic mobility and will be going into production soon.

Sensing that the future of mobility is electric cars, the India car maker’s subsidiary Tata technology has showcased the electric car at the Detroit Show. The small car Tata eMO can have multiple roles to play. Its interior space- rear seats can be folded to make space for luggage. The rear seats can be folded to make more cabin space. The Tata eMO seemed much inspired by Tata Pixel that the homegrown car maker has designated for Europe. Tata Pixel was showcased at the Geneva Motor show held last year.

The eMO has showcased the future concept of Tata technology in bringing a concept car that is electric powered and has the ability to survive even in conditions when the fuel prices will be so unaffordable and high besides scarcity of fuel. The innovative technology that enables the Tata eMo to have much more boot space will be making this car dual in purpose. As a design modification the Tata eMo has no hatchdoor and the luggage is loaded unloaded as well as entry and exit is made through the suicide door hinged to the rear. Such doors are rarely used in modern times however these suicide doors enable entry and exit in the car easy.
