Tokyo Motor Show 2015: Yamaha Showcases its Concept Car Sports Ride
Name of Yamaha Motors does not require any introduction to introduce itself in two wheelers segment. The renowned two wheeler company is now ready to make its entrance in four wheeler segment affect the servitude of established car makers. The established company has showcased its first concept car Sports Ride during the Tokyo Motor Show 2015. The concept car is a sports car with seating capacity of two persons.
The major feature of this sports car is integration of iStream functionality that helps in making it light weight with robust body infrastructure. The initiative of developing iStream concept goes to Gordon Murray Design and is basically use in cars that are developed for Formula One championship. Talking about the mechanical nothing has been so far revealed by Yamaha Motors however it is speculated that the sports car would be empowered with three cylinder 1.0 litre engine carried from concept car revealed by Motiy an upcoming car manufacturer in 2013.
Moving towards its looks the concept car totally reveals the picture of Sports car at first instance with raised stand at front fascia giving it a dynamic look which is further enhanced with stylish headlamps reminding about YZF-R1 motorcycle. The ORVMs looks like a leaf. Moving towards the rear portion it receives centre-up muffler combined with nano coating technology. Inside the cabin you will find leather upholstery carbon fibre mounted on central console. The dials mounted on instrument cluster are similar to dials that are mounted on Yamaha bikes. Apart from this the car maker had used transparent materials for developing doors, roof and floor.
