In US which is a major market for Toyota cars, the 4Runner and Camry besides Avalon are the best selling cars while the recent launch of Etios and Etios Liva cars in India and some other countries has helped the car maker gain sufficient volumes to counter the sales of big wigs such as GM and VW. It was due to the short supply of parts and ensued outages in 2011 that the car maker could not produce sufficient numbers and even after the demand it could not sell cars and thus had lost the title of world’s top car maker.
