As we know that Toyota is one of the biggest brand in the world.Toyota has one of the finest manufacturers of sedan SUV's and MUV's as well. With the huge success of Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Prius and the new Toyota Etios they have made good reputation in the Indian market.
Toyota Innova is one the most selling MUV in India, so before launching the all new Toyota Avanza they have to maintain the present image of Innova as both of them are MUV's. As the demand of Innova is more than any vehicle of Toyota. So Toyota are making sure that they maintain the status of Toyota Innova as well as creating a different market for Avanza.

To maintain the market for both the MUV's in India they have have made slight differences like
*In size Avanza is smaller than Innova
*Avanza's engine capacity is less compared to the engine of Innova.
*No of passengers in Avanza is less compared to the No of passengers in Innova

It will not only create competition for the other MUV's already in India like Mahindra Xylo and Chevrolet Tavera but also to the upcoming vehicles like Nissan NV200.
As if for now Toyota Avanza will only be available in 1.5 4cylinder petrol engine in India.It has a 5 speend manual gear transmission.It gives 109 BHP power and max torque is141 Nm.The cost of this car is expected to be around 6.5 to 7 lacs and according to a MUV it is a very reasonable price so people will go for it

| Edit ReplyThe Toyota Avanza just looks tall due to the greenhouse.This car is coming in indian auto market with good features and specification.The Avanza was updated in 2008 with a new ceiling with grooves to improve airflow to the rear and a new interior colour scheme.
