According to reports collected from the dealers of the total bookings registered so far for the new Corolla Altis about 70 percent of the customers have booked the petrol variant of Altis equipped with automatic transmission system. In the words of dealers buyers the main reason behind the shift of buyers towards automatic variant has been easy driving feature offered by AT trim of Corolla Altis. The dealers also said that now a day’s customers are well aware about the working of CVT transmission system and paddle shifts with this impressive looks of new Corolla Altis makes the sedan a unique combination.
It would be interested to know that the erstwhile version of Toyota Corolla Altis was mainly famous among the taxi operators and had limited number of buyers. But now it looks that with new Corolla Altis, the Japanese car market has broken the myth of highly liked sedan of taxi operators. Moreover the surprising factor is demand of automatic variant. The automatic Corolla Altis is offered in two trims namely G AT with price tag of Rs. 15.04 lakh (ex-showroom price) and VL AT which is priced Rs. 16.89 lakh (ex-showroom price).
