Toyota Kirloskar Motor India finally kick-started it’s much awaited Toyota Etios Motor Racing Exhibition Race at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai on 4th and 5th August 2012. The EMR got a huge response and the opening ceremony was worth the wait. The ceremony was pretty grand along with numerous other activities starting from celebrity races, SUV Zone, Children’s Learning zone to Karting Zone.

At the launch event of Etios Motor Racing (EMR), Akira Iida and Ben Collins were seen. Both are internationally acclaimed drivers, who were successful in showcasing their driving skills at the EMR launch event as well. This launch event was line up with the company’s international campaign called ‘Waku-Doki’ meaning excitement, joy and fun. The Etios Motor Racing will certainly contribute to the Indian Motor Sports and take it a higher and higher on the world graph.

Besides carrying on the heritage of the world Motor sports, Etios Motor Racing is also giving a platform to 25 young and skilled racers. The selection process of these drivers also got an awe-inspiring response, which showcases the interest and enthusiasm of today’s youth in Motor Sports. Toyota Kirloskar Motors is very proud to be a part of this program. To add on to the Motor Sports fascination, the company has also launched Toyota Liva TRD Sportivo, which is a complete sporty and athletic version of Toyota Etios Liva. TRD Sportivo lends a hand towards the development of Etios Motor Racing Series in the country.

The EMR marked its debut this time and the second race exhibition is expected to happen in October this year, which would be organized in New Delhi. Besides the exhibition race, ample of events based on EMR earlier than the single-make series would be started in the second half of 2013.
