Toyota Kirloskar Motor registers a growth of 7 per cent
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has good news! It registered a major growth of about 7% in last month. The firm managed to sell about 14,574 units of Toyota cars in the month July, which were 13,592 units in July 2011. A 39% of growth was seen in the sales of Toyota Innova as compared to the sales figures of July 2011. On the other hand, Toyota Fortuner didn’t let the company down and registered 24%. Toyota Etios twins’ sales were a bit less as compared to last year July sales figures, but Toyota Corolla Altis showed a progress and sold about 540 units in July 2012.

Recently, the company launched a brand new sporty car, called Toyota Etios Liva TRD Sportivo, Limited Edition. The car has been designed by TRD (Toyota Racing Development), Japan. The main aim behind the new Sportivo is providing the consumers a sporty car, specially the youth of the country. The car is available in both diesel as well as petrol engine options. The petrol variant of Toyota Etios Liva Sportivo has a price tag of Rs. 5,23,691 while the diesel variant has a price tag of Rs. 6,32,281.

As per the Deputy Managing Director (Marketing), Toyota Kirloskar Motors, Mr. Sandeep Singh, the major hike in the sales in July 2012 has been because of Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner. it has been a good sign for the company as the sales of both Fortuner and Innova have been growing at a rapid rate. However, on the other hand, the sales of Toyota Etios twins have been going down a bit. But in the South African market, where the Etios series is exported is doing pretty good. the latest Sportivo limited edition launched has also been receiving an overwhelming response from the youth of the country.
