Toyota launches new cheaper AT variant of Corolla Altis
Automobile manufacturer, Toyota Kirloskar India has recently added the cheaper automatic transmission member in the fleet of Toyota Corolla Altis model. This newly added automatic variant has been named G-HV Automatic variant. This seven speed automatic transmission has been tested earlier and is mated in the 1.8 liter petrol inline. This new AT addition in Corolla Altis kitty features the dual variant valve timing. However, the other diesel engine inline variant of Corolla Altis comes mated by a 5 speed manual transmission.
This time, Toyota Kirloskar has not done much of the marketing instincts about the addition of this new variant, except few newspaper advertisements revealing the secret of a new variant added in this car. The best part about this newly added automatic transmission is its price as the company has slated it around Rs 1.25 lakh cheaper than its top end V automatic variant, which makes this new additional variant one of the cheapest available D-segment automatic transmissions available in India. As far as the features are concerned, this car would carry DVD console with Bluetooth, Dual Airbags, ABS, Central Locking etc. However, to curtail the cost of this car, features like Electric seats, Leather upholstery, Xenon headlamps, Retractable rear sun shade, Start stop button, Smart Entry function etc. have been removed.
The company has slated the G-HV automatic variant of Corolla Altis at the attractive price of Rs. 13.76 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). With a nominal price tag Corolla Altis G-HV, it is quite clear that the D–segment buyers who look for automatic transmission will have a perfect match available.
Toyota Corolla Altis has been the hallmark of superior quality, nominal maintenance cost and bomb proof rigidity in the domestic auto market that has enabled this car to become the top seller in its class leaving behind rivals like Honda City
, Chevrolet Cruze
, Volkswagen Jetta
and Skoda Laura
