Toyota to launch Innova Crysta during second half of this year

Toyota Kirloskar Motors, the Indian alliance of Japanese car maker unveiled their best selling MPV Innova during the 13th edition of Indian Auto Expo 2016 in completely new disguise. However, at the time of its unveil car maker did not disclosed any of details regarding features and specifications. Now according to recent industry reports Japanese car maker is going to launch the new avatar of Innova in Indian car market as Crysta during the middle of this year. Well, if this happens then it will be interesting to see what strategy TKM adopts before launching the Crysta in India, as it also suffers from interim decision of Supreme Court regarding ban of diesel vehicles with displacement 2000cc and above. According to emerging reports all car makers have a feeling that this decision of Supreme Court might be extended.

The diesel variant of Innova Crysta is reported to be empowered with 2.4 litre diesel engine churning the power of 147 bhp and torque of 359Nm, whereas the petrol variant is enriched with in-line four cylinder 2,000cc VVT-I petrol engine boosting the power of 137 bhp and torque of 183Nm. Now with these engine configurations it would be interested to see that how the Indo-Japanese car maker cater the interim decision of Supreme Court of India banning the entrance of vehicle of vehicles having engine displacement capacity of more then 2000cc. The existing version of Innova MPV is empowered with 2.0 litre engine due to which MPV is not able to make its move in Delhi NCR region. It is reported that upcoming avatar of Innova Crysta would be offered with both transmission system comprising of manual and automatic transmission system. It will also be equipped with disc and drum brakes for front and rear brakes respectively.

Along with this it is also reported to be embellished with fleet of some remarkable features comprising of 7 inch audio system with navigation, automatic climate control system followed by auto cooler for rear passengers, power driver seat and cruise control. As far as safety measures are concerned it will be equipped with bunch of standard features namely airbags, ABS+EBD and brake assist system.
