Unveil of New Skoda Octavia: Countdown Starts
Finally the day has arrived when Czech auto giant Skoda will raise curtain of its highly awaited generation next new Skoda Octavia in Mumbai. The curtain of new Octavia will be raised by Dr. H.C. Winfred Vahland, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Skoda group. The worth mentioning feature of new Octavia is that it is based on MQB concept of Volkswagen which blesses the new variant to enjoy more length and width of 90mm and 45mm respectively than compared to Skoda Laura, which will now be replaced by new Octavia.
The new Octavia will be available in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol version will be energized with 1.8 litre TSI engine whereas the diesel version will be enriched with 2.0 litre TDI engine. However in beginning the introductory petrol version will be equipped with 1.4 litre TSI engine. It would be interested to know that apart from enhancing exteriors of new Octavia company has also paid specific attention on enhancing its interiors which are visible as soon as you enter inside the car. Interiors are enriched with unnoticeable edges designed by plastic of good quality, well designed dashboard followed by eye catching features.
As far as safety measures are concerned new Octavia is not an exception, it has been equipped with latest automatic braking system, adaptive cruise control, fatigue detection system, nine air bags, lane assistance system, recognizing traffic signs system, intelligent light assistance system and many more. Moving towards the price, it has not been yet disclosed by the company but it is expected that it will be priced below the Skoda Laura. However, the suspense behind price and features will be soon disclosed as soon as the car will be unveiled among the audiences few hours from now.
