Vettel adds one more diamond in his crown
German racer Sebastien Vettel succeeded in grabbing World Champion award for 2013 by participating in Airtel Indian Grand Prix organized at New Delhi, it is for the fourth time that his time Red Bull succeeded in winning the championship which is their 4th successive win. But this joy of victory continued only for few minutes as unfortunately in excitement of winning the title the youngest racer got excited and underwent few donuts among the grand stand as the result of which his team was penalized with penalty of 25,000 Euros for violation of rules set of FIA (Federation Internationale de Automobile.
The award of first runner up and second runner up were taken by Mercedes’s Nico Rosberg and Lotus’s Romain Grosjean respectively. Although these places were occupied by them only after sudden retirement of Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing team which happened due to alternator failure during race on 39th lap. As the result of this Red Bull Racing suggested Vettel to stay away from his drinks bottle and also not to get involved with KERS as it might create problem for his car.
On the other side Ferrari’s racer Fernando Alonso had to satisfy on 11th position which was due to damage of front wing as an accident between Kimi Raikkonen and Mark Webber as the result of which he had to place himself in second lap. Other top position grabbed by racers include Felipe Massa 4th rank, followed by Mercedes’ Sergio Perez at 5th position, Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen at 6th and 7th respectively. 8th position was captured by Merecdes’ Paul di Resta whereas 9th and 10th positions were taken over by Adrian Sutil and Ferrari’s Daniel Ricciardo.
