Volkswagen Polo sedan to be launched in Middle East next year
Sometime back there was an announcement made by the German multinational auto giant Volkswagen Group that it will be investing a record amount of 86 billion US dollars across the globe in coming years to fulfill its vision of becoming the world’s largest automobile maker. Now, executing the same, next year it will be launching some new car models of Volkswagen brand in the Middle East auto sector where it has minimal presence of around 2 percent and it aims to increase the market share to 10 percent. As per firm, the initial new vehicle to be rolled-out will be Made-in-Russia Volkswagen Polo sedan version followed by Volkswagen Passat.
The first car that will be launched by Volkswagen will actually be a Volkswagen Vento, but in Russia it is called as Volkswagen Polo. After the launch of Polo and Passat sedans in the Middle East, the company will launch some more models as per the demand of the consumers there. The company manufactures Polo sedan in Russia and this export of the Germany based firm outside Russia is been observed for the first time. In the year 2011, Volkswagen has also set-up production units in India.
Volkswagen made its foray in the Indian automotive sector in the year 2007 with Volkswagen Passat followed by Volkswagen Jetta in 2008. The launch of sedan Volkswagen Vento and Volkswagen Polo hatchback in 2010 turned the tables for the brand in India, as it clocked huge number of sales within a very short span of time.
