Volkswagen to launch new small car in India, China and Brazil
The German auto-giant, Volkswagen is looking ahead to bring a new two-box for the Indian, Chinese and Brazilian auto markets. Earlier, the car maker introduced its hatchback, Volkswagen Polo back in 2010 that has become an emblem of class luxury and premium comforts in a small car segment. Inspired from the booming sales results from Volkswagen Polo, the company is planning to launch a small car in the domestic auto market.
This alluring much anticipated hatchback from the German automaker is reported to be based on the platform of Volkswagen Up and will stand as the entry level product for the car maker. So far, the company has not unveiled the secret of price and specifications of this car, but it is expected that this is going to be unleashed in 2013, after its launch at the Paris Grand Palais. Volkswagen has aimed to launch this car in auto markets of Brazil and China along with India, as the demand for two-box cars is quite high in these three nations.

It is rumored that this hatchback is going to be introduced in both petrol and diesel inline to grab maximum number of small enthusiasts. However, the petrol inline of this car is said to be boosted by a 800cc engine, while, the diesel engine might have efficiency of 1200 cc.

No doubt with the addition of one another small car in the domestic auto market, Volkswagen will become more reliable brand like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. Furthermore, Volkswagen has snatched 19 percent of stake in Suzuki Motors, which is the parental unit of Maruti Suzuki car maker in India. In addition, Volkswagen has also subjected to conquer on 10 percent of total Indian auto market, by year 2018.
