Volkswagen to launch T-Roc concept vehicle rather than Taigun in Indian car market
For those who were waiting for German car maker Volkswagen to launch it Taigun in Indian car market after unveiling during the Indian car market held in month of February 2014, here is a disappointing new. It is rumored that Volkswagen is speculating to launch a compact SUV based on T-Roc concept. The car maker had showcased the T-Roc concept during Geneva Motor Show 2014 and is based on company’s MQB platform on which company will develop its upcoming future vehicles.
The T-Roc is a compact two door SUV followed by removable roof. The concept showcased during Geneva Motor Show 2014 was equipped with 20 litre turbocharged diesel engine supported with four wheel drive engine. However, it is speculated that in coming days, company offer it in compact crossover platform with four doors. It is reported that company is speculating to make its production unit located in India suitable for producing MQB based platform vehicles.
It would be interested to know that earlier it was rumored that after showcasing Taigun concept during Auto Expo 2014 company, will start its production at its plant in India due to which it was speculated that company will launch the same vehicle in Indian car market.
