Volkswagen to two-fold its market share in India by 2018
Considering the recent launch of Volkswagen Vento Style edition and upcoming Volkswagen Polo 1.2L TSI version, German auto giant Volkswagen is sure on an expansion track in the country. In addition to this, series of offers on Volkswagen cars in India are sure to aid in the boost in sales. Sensing the trigger in enthusiasm for its cars, the car maker aims to double its market share in India in the next five years. The car maker has set a robust strategy for it and to achieve this. As per reports, the car maker aims to get 7 percent market share by 2018. Notably, Volkswagen has also set 2018 as the target year for achieving the title of being the largest car maker in the world.
India is a strategic market for almost all the major car makers of the world. Every car maker wishes to pitch in its cars in India and Volkswagen wants to leave no stone unturned in order to tap the immense potential in India. Not only in India but the company wants to explore new markets across the world and also wants to launch new products as well as refresh the existing ones. In India, there are two major products – Volkswagen Vento and Volkswagen Polo by this car maker besides, VW Jetta, VW Beetle, Phaeton, Touareg and VW Passat. The recently launch special edition Vento Style is a worth addition to the range. The chrome lining and overall styling of the car is expected to create much sensation in the market.
