Waiting period of Tata Zest Diesel AMT extends to three months
The recently launched compact sedan from domestic car maker Tata Motors has started making its presence among the buyers in Indian car market and is helping the car maker to regain its position in market which during last few years has witnessed shifting towards downward direction. According to reports the AMT version launched in diesel version has succeeded in attracting the buyers in Indian car market as an impact of which it has already crossed the waiting period of more than three months.
The sources of company reveal that till now they have received more than 25,000 queries for Zest since its launch this month and expect that the number will increase in coming days. An interesting feature of AMT version offered in top end model of diesel variant is that it facilitates the driver to opt for either automatic transmission system or manual gear transmission system depending upon his requirement. Prior to this the same AMT system has been introduced by country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited in its Celerio hatchback. Tata Zest is the first car from Tata Motors to get enriched with this system.
It would be interested to know that not only AMT version of Tata Zest is witnessing the waiting period of three months, but Maruti Celerio is also going through the same situation and having waiting period of Maruti Celerio AMT version extending to eight to ten months. The main reason for this extending waiting period is due to supply of AMT from Magneto Marelli. However, now it is reported that from Magento Marelli is going to locally manufacture the SMT version in Indian car market which would help in reducing the waiting period of cars empowered with such gear transmission system.
