Chevrolet Beat has been a successful model ever since its launch in India in the year 2010. Launched initially in petrol version, the company launched the diesel variant of the hatchback last year in the month of July. Chevrolet Beat diesel is a popular diesel hatchback and it also accounts for almost half of the company’s sales. What makes it conspicuous is its peculiar design, the unique rear and the front fascia of the hatchback. Chevrolet Beat diesel LT Option price is a little high, but the company has given all the important features in this trim.

A 936 cc, 1.0 litre, 3 cylinder, DOHC diesel engine powers the hatchback, the power engendered by the engine is not that high (62.5 PS at 4000 Rpm). While the torque produced by the engine is 160.26 Nm at 1750 Rpm. The trim is equipped with a manual gearbox and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres.

Fuel efficiency proffered by this hatchback is a high selling point which makes it one of the most popular diesel hatchbacks in the Indian car market. A high fuel efficiency of 18.5 kmpl is delivered when driven in city conditions while the fuel efficiency number surges to a whopping 25.44 kmpl when the hatchback runs on highways. The hatchback takes 16 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph and reaches a top speed of 143 kmph.

The exteriors of Beat are impressive, however interiors are good too with features like air conditioner, power steering, power windows (both in front and rear side of the hatchback.
