Chevrolet has a premium saloon in its India portfolio, Chevrolet Cruze which is famous for its powerful engine and performance. Chevrolet Cruze underwent a facelift and was presented for the Indian customers in a new avatar. The new Chevrolet Cruze LT Fam Z comes with a diesel motor with a displacement of 1998 cc. The 2.0 litre, VCDi diesel engine produces a maximum power of 166 PS at 3800 Rpm and 380 Nm at 2000 Rpm. The sturdy engine is mated to a manual transmission in this trim and also comes with a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres. Fuel efficiency delivered is decent enough, though diesel engines generally are known for offering a high fuel economy.

In city conditions the fuel economy is restricted to 13.5 kmpl however on highways; the fuel economy numbers shoot to 17.3 kmpl.
