Looks like Fiat makers have been working on the new Fiat Palio Stile Petrol SL. It has a face-lift and somewhat reshaped bonnet. Subtle changes in tailgate and rear lights have contributed to the already enchanted Palio.

With the whole new 1.1L , FIRE Petrol engine having a minimum 1108 cc displacement implies that the earlier 1206 cc engine has been done away with. The new engine is borrowed from the Fiat Panda. These measures have resulted in an improved city mileage of 14.8 kmpl and highway mileage of 17.4 kmpl. The engine still revs up perfectly producing a max power of 57 PS @ 5250 RPM and maximum torque of 92 Nm @ 2750 RPM. This hatchback car has front wheel drive connected to a 5 speed gearbox.

Obviously the Fiat Palio Stile Petrol SL is not made for speed but the engine seems to be bit noisy at high rpms. It reaches to a top speed of 147 kmph and is an easy drive car to handle the twist and turns of Indian roads. It can easily find space in heavy traffic, thanks to its power steering and a small 5.1 meter turning radius. The new Fiat Palio Stile Petrol SL looks almost same as the older versions. Dashboard has to be re-engineered. The dark grey interiors have been done away with, which has been replaced by dual tone interiors. The reformed console looks a lot more welcoming as compared to the earlier dark cabin, though the four dashboard colors conduct a mismatch. Seats are comforting with rotary seat-back angle adjustment but the driver might face some problems in terms of visibility. To account for this Fiat Palio Stile Petrol SL has been equipped with a pair of broad mirrors which prove to be of good use when shunting around tight corners. Other than the regular safety features, the Fiat Palio Stile Petrol SL has been installed with an engine immobilizer. The car can also handle minor crashes with side and front impact beams to cover it up.
