The second largest car maker in the Indian car market, Hyundai Motors had introduced its Santro many years back and since the time of its launch, this compact car literally challenged the big daddy of the small car market Maruti 800 and managed to lure many hearts as well. The car was rolled out with a reasonable price tag. The Hyundai Santro Xing Non AC price was the most economical in the range and the variant turned out to be loved by many. However, the car was missing so many comfort features, but the compact size, nominal price tag and good mileage helps the car to score high.

The engine of the Hyundai Santro Xing Non AC is fuel efficient and cleverly powerful. The 1.1 litre of petrol engine with a displacement of 1086cc manages to perform impressively on road and churn out 63PS of peak power @ 5500rpm along with producing peak torque of 9.8kgm @ 3000rpm. The five speed manual transmission that has been untied with the engine makes the car to deliver a good mileage of 13.5kmpl on the heavy traffic city roads and 17.9kmpl of mileage on the highways. Delivering such mileage figures certainly help the owner in keeping the monthly fuel budget under control. Moreover, the ride and handling quality of the car is decent and as it is a compact car, it successfully picks up a top speed of 142kmph and touches the 100kmph of speed mark in 15.9 seconds.

Look wise, Hyundai Santro Xing Non AC variant does a good job. The shape that has been given to the car is impressive and very neat. The front bonnet has a bit of a slope coupled with decent size headlamps and grille. The Hyundai sign is positioned centrally on the grille, while the side profile of the car has smooth lines, which are continued towards the rear. On the rear end you would see sleek tail lights that are combined with rear bumper and high mounted stop lamp. On the other hand, the interiors of the car are not as impressive as you expected. The car misses out on some of the most basic features, which are must these days. The car doesn’t have power steering, power windows and air conditioning system. But the remote fuel lid and boot opener, comfortable seats and front cup holders are present to save the grace.
