ICML Rhino Rx Winner AC 10 Seater BS III Variant Review

The International Car and Motor Company launched the ICML Rhino Rx Winner AC 10 Seater BS III a few years back and since day one it has been regarded as a commercial vehicle. It can’t be called as a success or a failure either as the company entered the automobile market with this car into the MUV segment. At a glance ICML Rhino Rx Winner AC 10 Seater BS III looks like Toyota Qualis, but outruns it in terms of seating capacity.

The car comes with a 1994 cc, 2.0 L, turbocharged intercooled diesel engine which produces a maximum power of 100 PS at the rate of 3600 rpm and a maximum torque of 240 Nm at the rate of 2000 rpm. The 4 cylinder engine truly shows the supremacy of diesel power. The engine is mated with a 5 speed manual transmission which is designed to handle pulling, rather than speeding. The city/highway mileage is listed at 10.2/14.5 kmpl.

10 seater capacity is the main advantage of this car but low headroom combined with stiff suspension can be a pain sometimes with head bumping to the roof often. Leather gear knob and silver painted control panel are good but door trims and seats are not much of a delight. Body coloured outdoor handles are also included as a standard accessory. Air conditioner with heater is more efficient now and the meters look more attractive now. No doubt, the car has a good seating capacity but the legroom is not enough and for people who are more than 6 feet in height may not be seated comfortably. Door pockets are large and can hold much of their luggage and with the addition of a spacious glove compartment necessary utilities and first aid kits can be stored with a lot of room to spare.

Exteriors are much the same with solid body paint and turn indicators on the right hand side. Tail lamps look more appealing and front lens seem to be more powerful.

ICML Rhino Rx Winner AC 10 Seater BS III safety features include ventilated disc brakes balanced with LCRV, dual side impact beam, collapsible steering column, head lamp leveling device, child safety locks and a cross car beam under dash board. Considering ICML Rhino Rx Winner AC 10 Seater BS III’s low price, it should have been sold like hot cakes, but the lack of interior charisma has been the main deal breaker.
