Mahindra Bolero is a rugged vehicle which is more popular in the rural areas. The vehicle is perfect for driving on erratic roads, and this is one reason for its immense popularity. Mahindra & Mahindra few months ago inducted the new version of the vehicle which comes affixed with an air conditioner. The Mahindra Bolero DI Plus AC was unleashed for the Indian customers of late and it has been able to impress the masses. Mahindra Bolero DI Plus AC price is equivalent to a premium hatchback or an entry level sedan, at this price one gets a spacious vehicle that is suitable for the Indian roads.

A powerful 2523 cc diesel mill does duty under the hood, the engine is capable of producing 63 Hp at 3200 Rpm and 180 Nm at 1440 to 1500 Rpm. The diesel motor is mated to a manual transmission and Bolero comes with a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres. The mileage offered by the Mahindra Bolero DI Plus AC is not as impressive despite of being equipped with a diesel motor. In city conditions, a 9.4 kmpl is what this trim delivers, while when running on highways, it runs around 13.6 kmpl. Acceleration and pick up of the vehicle is again not as good as expected, it takes 30.3 seconds for Bolero DI Plus AC to vroom from 0 to 100 kmph and attains a maximum speed of just 117 kmph.

Features wise too, the vehicle has nothing much to offer, not even the basic features that usually come as standard in hatchbacks and sedans. This is how the home grown auto maker, Mahindra & Mahindra would have been able to keep the price under control. As the name suggest, air conditioner is present in the trim which is a new addition, apart from this cup holders are given only in the front side while it is missing in the rear side if the vehicle. CD player also comes as a standard feature in this trim, while features like power steering, power windows, alloy wheels etc are missing. Safety features like driver airbag, front passenger airbag, anti-lock brake system and even central locking in not present in this trim. It is a very basic vehicle devoid of many features that are provided in most of the vehicles running on Indian roads. Bolero is a very popular model from the stables of Mahindra & Mahindra and the presence of AC in this trim makes it a preferred model from the range of M&M.
