Hatchbacks are the in-thing these days. Every other company is launching a hatchback to cope up with the Indian car market scenario today. But the first hatchback to swipe the entire car bazaar in the country was Maruti Suzuki Swift. After this one, Maruti rolled out another hatchback called Maruti Ritz. The car does showed a lot of potential, but it failed to win as many hearts as it did with Swift. But Maruti Ritz wasn’t a total disappointment. This one was launched in both diesel and petrol variants and Maruti Ritz VDI is one of the diesel variants in the range. The Maruti Ritz VDI price is a bit higher as compared to the petrol variant, but the cost is not too high that it won’t fit in your pocket. It’s affordable.

Now, the question arises, what makes Maruti Ritz VDI worth the cost. Well the answer is many things. First the engine, under the bonnet of this car variant, the 1248cc of diesel engine is on duty that without any trouble generates 75PS of maximum power @ 4000rpm along with producing crest torque of 190Nm @ 2000rpm. This DDiS multi-jet diesel engine has been combined with a smooth and remarkable five-speed manual gearbox, which in turn allows the hatchback to give out a pleasing 17.1kmpl of mileage on the city road and 21.1kmpl of fuel economy when on highways. The ride and handling quality of the car is further amplified by the presence of well-designed and smooth suspension system, which is victorious in gobbling up all the potholes on the rough Indian terrains. With a top speed of 157kmph, you can zoom away with speed on the highways.

Maruti Suzuki has taken care of the exteriors and put in a lot of hard work in making you stand out of the crowd with Maruti Ritz VDI. The rear profile of the car is the main highlighting factor here, which is very unique and different from other hatchbacks that are available in the country today. The front of the car is also well-done and alluring. on the other hand, the interiors have been given most of the comfort features, such as AC, power steering, power windows for front and rear, remote fuel lid and boot opener, and more.
