In the small car segment in the country the ideal and affordable vehicle is Maruti Zen Estilo. Launched in the year 2007, the second generation mini car with tall boy design has been favourite of first time car buyers in India. Its compact dimensions are developed keeping in mind Indian traffic conditions. Some of the key features of Zen Estilo are spacious interiors, comfortable seating position and mileage friendly petrol engine. It is available in three variants and various exterior shades, but the value for money is mid variant Maruti Zen Estilo LXI.

The interiors are spacious to provide adequate space in terms of head room and leg room to all 4 to 5 occupants in the car. The quality of plastic used inside is of proper quality considering the low price factor, while seat material with standard fabric gives decent comfort. There are front and rear adjustable head rests, bench type rear seats and 2 front and 1 rear cup holder. Some convenient features present are power steering, front power windows, air conditioner, central door locks, remote boot lid opener and power lock & key backdoor opener.

The engine of Maruti Zen Estilo comes with small displacement but very swift in city traffic circumstances. The 1.0L, 998 cc, in-line petrol engine is capable of generating a maximum power of 64 bhp at 6200 rpm and peak torque of as high as 84 Nm at 3500 rpm. Both these numbers can be rated commendable with powertrain of this size. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
