Tata Motors’ most ambitious car and also tagged as the cheapest car in the world, ‘Tata Nano’ landed in the Indian car market three years ago. Nano, though is not a good looking car but what makes it special is its low price and petite size. Tata Nano became a hysteria when it was launched in the domestic market. Back in December 2011, the company launched an improved version of the hatchback which is currently available in the Tata Motors showrooms. Tata Nano CX BS III is an extremely affordable trim from the range of Tata Nano, Tata Nano CX BS III comes with a jaw dropping price tag.

Since the size of the hatchback is small, therefore the engine powering the hatchback has to comply with the size of the vehicle. Under the hood is a 624 cc, 2 cylinder, MPFI petrol engine . The tiny engine can produce 38 PS of power at 5500 Rpm and 51 Nm of torque at 4000 Rpm. Tata Nano CX BS III comes with a fuel tank capacity of only 15 litres which is very less.

While we talk about the fuel economy figures, it would not be wrong to say that small things come with a big surprise. This petite hatchback delivers a high mileage of 20.0 kmpl in city conditions and runs close to 25 kmpl on highways which is extremely good. The hatchback tales almost 30 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph and attains a top speed of 105 kmph.

To make Tata Nano CX BS III price affordable, Tata Motors has not given many features to the hatchback. Air conditioner is the only feature that could make it to the interiors of the hatchback. So this is a very basic trim that is considered by those who do not want to splurge much on a car and want a simple four wheeler. Let us have a look at the features that are not present in the hatchback. Power steering now a days is present in every car which is not given by the domestic car maker in this trim of Nano. Power windows are not present even in the front side (it is also absent in the rear side). Other features like cup holders (both front and rear) are absent, remote trunk, remote fuel lid opener, alloy wheels, CD player, driver airbag, front passenger airbag, anti-lock brake system and central locking are also not proffered in this trim.
