Being the high-end version of Tata Sumo, it is the most expensive model in the Gold range. It’s powerful, rugged and carries the diesel advantage. It is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0 L DI diesel engine which produces maximum power of 70 Ps at the rate of 3000 rpm and a monstrous 223 Nm of torque at the rate of 1600~2200 rpm. This 2956 cc engine goes perfectly with the 5 speed manual transmission. But that amount of torque limits the top speed to 146 kmph and all the power generated is used for heavy pulling jobs instead of speed. The car has a slow acceleration and touches 100 kmph after pushing it for 27 seconds. The average is announced to be at 9.2/12.4 kmph on city/highways.
