Toyota Innova is one of the commonest cars you come across on Indian roads, thanks to its spacious interiors, a well built body and phenomenally sturdy framework. Diesel technology, as it is, is soaring in popularity due to rising petrol prices. Toyota Innova is offered in petrol as well as diesel engines; however, there is no doubt diesel variants are the cash cows for Toyota India. Toyota Innova Diesel EV PS 7 Seater BSIII is powered by a 2KD-FTV engine with turbocharger and 4 inline cylinders. The 2494 cc common rail diesel engine has 16 valves DOHC valve train that works rigorously to churns out 102 PS@3600 rpm and maximum torque of 200 Nm@1400-3400 rpm. The chassis is made as sturdy as possible and double wishbone front suspension with four link with lateral rod suspension at rear absorbs the jerks and impacts from pot holes on road.

Exteriors aren’t the X-factor for Innova, although it has some bright, sunny features seen in no other MPV. In 2012, the MPV has been facelifted so as to look more premium and appealing. Front fascia with stylish grille, sharp distinctive lines and wrap-around headlamps bring about a unique sporty appearance. The defining feature of this 7 seater variant is 3 spoke Urethane steering wheel that comes specifically in the PS trim. The seating arrangement is very practical and at no seat one can feel a cramped position. Toyota has been generous enough to give space at front two separate seats, middle two captain seats, and last bench seat with 5:5 space-up.
