Toyota Innova does lose some marks in front of bold and beautiful MPVs coming up these days; however, the vehicle has by far, no real competitor in terms of space, practicality and performance. The facelift launched this year, however, has some facial makeover done which is quite likable too. The wider and more upright front radiator grille, V line up on the bonnet ending into a bulge just above the Toyota logo on chrome bar, angular headlamps diversifying till the side profile, fresh front bumpers with wider air dam flanked by neatly placed fog lamps are the elements that make up the new front look of Toyota Innova.

Toyota Innova Diesel G 7 Seater BSIII variant gets energy from a 2KD-FTV, diesel engine that is equipped with turbocharger that keeps the 4 inline cylinders cool. The power delivery stands at 102 PS@3600 rpm and torque stands at 200 Nm@1400-3400 rpm. The common rail diesel motor helps the driver attain a top speed of 151 kmph and accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 17.5 kmph.

With seven seats inside the MPV, the maximum kerb weight of this particular variant is 1675 kg. The middle row of the 7 seater variant comes with two captain seats with slider while the last row has a bench seat with 5:5 space-up. All the seats are reclining and ultimately comfortable. No competitor car can beat Innova in terms of comfort and space. The characteristic features of its interiors are a Tripmeter and door ajar warning in the instrument cluster, glove box, driver and passenger side sunvisors, 3 spoke Urethane steering wheel and PVC seats. Comfort come from a powerful AC with manual control coupled with a heater. One of the major disadvantages of Toyota Innova Diesel G 7 Seater BSIII priced less than Toyota Innova Diesel GX 7 Seater BSIII is that it does not have rear AC vents in the ceiling which are present in the latter. The steering column is tiltable and power operated and all windows are power operated too with power door lock feature. The variant has been sparsely stuffed with safety features like GOA impact absorbing body and engine immobilizer.
