Answer for this queation

I am 56 and looking for a sedan. My company pays abt Rs 8.5 lacs(ex showroom) for the car and running expenses until I retire four years from now.I was wondering whether a Diesel car wud b better for I can afford it even after retirement. My run wud b abt 1000km a month mostly in city with occasional highway trips.I am no great driver. So easy drive, low cost of ownership and safety(age!) are important. Could u pl help me with 1.whether I should go for a petrol or a Diesel car 2.in either case wha

Dear Sir,

According to your daily running, Petrol sedan will be a better and trouble free option to go for. Here there are two best sedans available to fit in your budget. One is Maruti SX4 Green VXI CNG-Petrol model and another is Honda City sedan V MT version. The premium and manly Maruti SX4, being a Maruti product offers pretty low-maintenance, great after sales service along with option of CNG to get more efficient on longer journeys.

On the other side is classier looking City with Honda badge, in spite being premium it offers very good mileage and comes with a refined engine with low maintenance. This model can be yours at Rs 8.86 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), just above your budget. Moreover, apart from Maruti SX4 VXI CNG-Petrol you can also give a try at hassle free top end ZXI Automatic Transmission (AT), which costs you around 8.65 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while VXI CNG is priced at Rs 7.72 Lakh approx. (ex-showroom Delhi).
