Dear Mehta,

In basic terms ‘BHP’ (Brake Horse Power) and ‘Torque‘ share a close relation in the engine, in which ‘bhp’ means the amount of power generated before any sort of gear change or any other interruption applied to the engine, while torque is the power to rotate the motor on its own axis, letting the vehicle drive.

Whereas, ‘cc’ (Cubic Centimeter) is also calculated in ‘litre’, for instance a 1200 cc engine can be said a 1.2-litre engine. The ‘cc’ and ‘displacement’ are near about the same and work together with the ‘cylinders’ available in the engine. There are pistons inside every cylinder that move up and down with the power produced by engine and the volume displaced by this movement is calculated in cubic centimeters (cc).
