Dear Anand, sighting your low usage/running, we don’t think diesel will be a great choice. Also keeping the fact in mind that you will be using Maruti Ertiga on weekends or occasionally, diesel won’t suit your needs. Because diesel vehicles perform well when used on more frequent basis, if not, it starts demanding maintenance. While the story with petrol engine is altogether different, pick it up every day or once a month, it will perform at its best and will also not ask for maintenance in the long run. So stick to your choice of petrol VDI, it’s a wise decision.
