Want to purchase a diesel hatchback, my daily run is nearby 70-80 km inside the city and say about 480-500 kilometers on highways every 15 days. At present I have Hyundai Santro Xing GLS. My priorities are: 1. Mileage 2. Cost of Ownership 3. Low Maintenance. Pls suggest a car I can use for about 5-6 years, and my budget is Rs 6-6.5 lakh.

Dear Rohan,

As per your requirement, Marutis and Hyundais will suit you to perfection. You can either opt for Maruti Swift Diesel or else Hyundai i20 Diesel model. Moreover, you can also have a look at recently launched New Maruti Ritz Diesel. As there is pretty rush for Swift, 2012 Ritz can be a very good choice, also it gets improved ARAI certified mileage too with 23 kmpl.
