Description :
I stay in DLF Phase I and run a small business of my own, my love towards car is immense and hence I keep reading news and updates on cars on various sites. When I got to know that Hyundai is bringing back Elantra to life and this time it would be bestowed with the Hyundai’s flexuous fluidic design my hopes for the saloon were raised then and there only.
The 1.8 litre petrol engine and 1.6 litre diesel engine looks promising, also the Hyundai Elantra price is likely to range between Rs 13 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs. The price of the car is the most exciting thing which might make me go to Hyundai’s showroom once it is available there. However, it is too early to say anything as the performance of the car will only decide the fate of the car in India. Hyundai cars flaunting the fluidic design have been successful in India and I hope that this one too will be able to make its mark in the D segment.
There are few other options also in this segment which include, Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Laura, and Honda Civic etc. All these cars are very popular and are doing pretty well in India, personally I like Jetta and Civic too looks good, but if I think price wise, Elantra could be the dark horse among them. Currently I have Honda City and Maruti Swift (old model) and now I am looking forward to selling Swift and go for a new sedan let’s see if Elantra could adorn my driveway or not. Hyundai is the only car maker who has not been able to make its mark in the D segment and Elantra could bring a ray of hope for Hyundai India.
