Hyundai Eon – It’s a charming little baby
Pros : Fuel efficient, Low maintenance, Powerful and Good Pick Up.
Cons : AC not effective, suspension noise and rear seat is not sufficient for three people.
Hello!! I am Vaibhav Sharma from Kota, Rajasthan. It is around three months since I bought the Eon Era Plus and I must say that it is a much better option than Alto. First of all, you will fall in love with this car at the very first glance. The sporty appearance is inspiring and looks similar to the i10. When it comes driving, you find it as good as other small cars like the Santro Xing and the Chevrolet Beat. The pick-up and acceleration are phenomenal, though the engine is of just 0.8 liter. Moreover, the fuel efficiency of Eon is fabulous; it gives mileage of 18 km/l in city and 19- 20 kmph on highways.
Though, I have not taken this car for its first service, but I saw the service chart of this car and the spare part costing after the free service is quite low like the Alto. Besides this, the design of dashboard is entirely new and the front seats provide good space for both driver and co-driver. The rear seat is good for two passengers, but for three passengers it is not sufficient. Added to this, the leg-room space of the rear seat is also very less.
The experience of handling has been too good. The acceleration is very smooth and gives massive power to the engine that enables it run like a sports car. Although, the ride is too smooth, but the suspension of this car is bit noisy like the Tata Indica, therefore, the company should work on making the suspension more durable and noise free.
