XUV 500– A loveable crossover

I am delighted that we are one of the lucky ones who became the proud owner of XUV500. After a long waiting period finally, Mahindra XUV 500 W8 is a part of our family.

Starting from engine, let me tell you that it has got the 2179 cc mhawk VGT diesel inline that is mated by 6 speed MT. Mahindra has given all the efforts to make this car the best SUV for Indian roads, but the company should have also introduced it in an automatic transmission variant as well. I took a drive of my car on the highways and the road grip, performance and stability was totally incredible compared to cars like Tata Safari and Mahindra Scorpio. In no time I got a top speed of 160 kmph that has increased my love for this car. As far as the fuel efficiency is concerned, although I have not measured exactly, but I feel that it’s somewhere around 10 kmph. Driving downhill, the BA and EBD functions work all properly.

Interior of this car is the best one in its class and has got premium leather upholstery and there is sufficient space in first and the second row, but like the MUV Toyota Innova, the third row of this car is also congested for 3 passengers. Words fail to describe the exterior of XUV 500 as it has left behind all the available rivalry SUVs. The Cheetah inspired glance adds beauty to the overall exterior. The parallel front grill and sexy headlamps are the real head turning factors of this car.  

Features available in my car are also incredible which include, Tilt and telescopic steering wheel, AC vents for all the three rows, Airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Central Locking, Power Door Locks, Anti-theft Alarm, Cruise Control, Rain Sensing Wiper, Rear Defogger etc.
