Good car but lacks taste

Pros : Good looks, nice fuel efficiency, very easy to drive, reasonably priced; Maruti build in trust and ride handling is just amazing

Cons : Cramped interiors and tacky plastic used to build interiors

Maruti is good at doing business and they know how to play in the competitive market like ours. Coming up with something refreshing is their best technique to attract people and that helps a lot in keeping their huge customer base always interested, Maruti is handling this challenge pretty well and A Stars is their new redesigned Alto equipped with air bags and CD player and is out in competition with Hyundai’s I-10 and is available at a much cheaper price. What Maruti always lacks in is the styling and beautifying their product to give it an all new soul that inspires new users but A Star is nothing more than another addition to the boring list of same features and unimpressive looks.

Engine is powered with 998cc capable to generate 68 PS of power at 6200 rpm of torque and gives good mileage of 14 in city and 17 on highways and is one of the features Maruti cars are designed keeping in mind. Exteriors are good enough but interiors are not impressive and are cramped especially the rear compartment is deprived of the necessary legroom and front is not designed keeping in mind the tall people and is good just for average height people. I drove it for half an hour and am pretty satisfied with the durability and ride handling. Car is basically designed for city driving and is not a good option for long drives. Small size enables to park it easily. Maintenance cost is not a matter of concern and after sales service of Maruti is best in class. Spares are cheap and readily available on all leading service centers.
