Maruti Swift Dzire: Get sporty with this sedan

Pros : Modern interior, powerful engine, low Maintenance and good mileage

Cons : Exterior is much impressive

Hello friends, I want to share my experience with Swift desire LDi that I have been driving for last 8 months. Maruti swift Dzire is a Sedan segment vehicle with a sporty looks like its elder small brother, the Swift hatchback. Though, the top end variant comes with fully loaded features, but I preferred to buy the base diesel variant due to my low budget. In terms of driving, the Dzire sedan is undoubtedly the best car in its segments. It has got the powerful diesel engine of 1248 cc that enables it to run like anything. From the point of fuel efficiency, I would say that Dzire diesel is incredible, it delivers mileage of 19 kmpl in city and 22 kmpl on highways.

This car is not only in good in terms of fuel efficiency, but also it has got nominal maintenance cost as well. The spare parts and maintenance cost of my car is much nominal compared to other diesel cars like Toyota Etios and Tata Manza. In terms of interiors too, my Dzire is a comfortable product. It has got well designed & furnished interior that is unlike the tough interiors of Tata Manza and Verito. The dashboard is one of the complimentary features of Dzire’s interiors. Both front and the rear cabin have got much leg-room and head-room space.

But I have one complain which one can’t certainly avoid. I think that the company could have given a bit different structure to this sedan rather than keeping it like the Swift hatchback and adding a boot. The rear looks not at all impressive, though the front is bit sober.

Overall, I would say that the car is good in terms of maintenance and drivability, but yes the company should focus on improving the looks of this car.
