Maruti Dzire, a pure City Sedan
Pros : modish coupe like looks, interiors, features
Cons : ground clearance, no roof rails, boot
Hey dear ones, before my favorite sedan was mine about 4-5 months ago, I had in my mind cars like Mahindra Verito, Tata Manza and Toyota Etios. But the styling of Maruti Dzire 2012 just stole the show and I had to go for the trusted Maruti brand. What I liked the most apart from the exteriors was the range of features and interior quality offered by the company. My Dzire variant is Zdi which has been doing well when it comes to mileage and performance.
Maneuvering the three box car in the city traffic is not a problem thanks to the compact designing of Dzire and its responsive engine which is able to overtake others on the road. However, when out in the open, it is left for wanting more. I would like to highlight few things which would impact new Dzire’s credibility among buyers is its small boot space that had earlier made buyers crazy.
In the looks part, I think there is fair bit of improvement that could enhance its overall appearance. Roof rails over the top can be a good idea to boost its overall appeal. Till now there is one thing which had troubled me consistently is the ground clearance of Dzire. Whenever you cross a big pot holes or our “standard size” speed breakers a sound of car’s body bruising against the ground is heard. I went to the Maruti service center to get it fixed but they told me that it is standard on all vehicles and they cannot raise it that forced me to see my auto professional. Thus I went to my mechanic with the problem and got the ground clearance increased and now I am not afraid of speed breakers or pot holes anymore.
